My 1983 BC Rich Mockingbird bass pickups have been replaced by Dimarzios. I'm looking to restore with the originals. Can anyone help?
Thanks |

I thought DM's were fitted as stock from the late '70's on?

Hi Greg,
Apparently not. Lorne from the BC Rich forum gave me the low down - it is a 1983 bass, through maple neck with mahogany wings. The pickups should be Gotoh copies of the Dimarzios. I'm no BC Rich expert, and I actually thought it was newer. Now I know it is an '83 (and therefore vintage) I can talk about it here! ![]()

I stand corrected! More familiar with BCR Eagles (I've got a recent US custom-shop NT), but have say to the M'bird is my favourite BCR body style - was really tempted by Lorne's fab ex-Phil Lynott one
As usual, US ebay probably the most likely source for the Gotoh's.....
