Very nice guitar but I'm afraid some of the information on your listing is incorrect - the vast majority of Hondos, from 1973 onward, were sourced from Samick in Korea.
Towads the end of the 70s Hondo "raised their game" by improving quality, fitting DiMarzio pickups and having certain models built in Japan. It's known that Matsumoku was one of the Japanese factories used, and Tokai Gakki is believed to have been another.
By this point the Korean factories were producing instruments on a par quality-wise with Japan, so telling them apart can be difficult. Japanese products are likely to feature better quality hardware.
