Default EB-2D Machine Heads

Hi all,

so i'm new here and need some help. though it seems like a simple thing i can't seem to find tuners...

i have an EB-2DC that i got a few months back, one of the tuners was bent and finally broke when i tried to change strings. i know (thanks to this site) that it takes the schaller m4 heads but i can't seem to find any anywhere! i'd prefer to stick with original gibson parts and have been cruising ebay but can't find those, failing that i'd like to go with schallers. I've seen some grovers and other brands that may work, but before i go that way, can anyone here point me to a place that may stock vintage gibson parts, or schallers?

thanks,

-j

Are you sure your EB-2D uses the Schaller M4?

If so, and if you're in the US, talk to Mike Parks at The Rickenbacker Page. He carries the M4 heads used on the Rick 4004.

according to this page:
http://www.gibsonbass.com/tuners.php#17

they are the "Schaller M-4 Gibson part number 14671"

the problem i keep finding is when i look for an schaller m4, i get what looks like the picture you linked, ie with the screw hole set to the side, not the bottom.

i'll check out mike parks, thanks.

You have to look for the Schaller M4 i 2000 tuners, but remember to order them with the correct tuner buttons...

Default Schaller M-4

Original ones of these come up often enough on ebay - if you are stuck just keep waiting....
