Default what sound do you prefer, ripper, grabber or G-3?

I think the G-3 sounds the best...I have had a Ripper and I have a G-3.

Don't know about the Grabber because I never played on that one.

Default Ripper

Its the Ripper for me every time. Grabber is ok, but not enough variation in tone. The G3 is the closest vintage Gibsons get to a Fender sound, so I can see why Fender players feel at home on them - but neither the G3 or Grabber can acheive the mellower (bassy) sounds that a Ripper can do......

Ripper here. Not that I've ever owned any of the three.

what I like about the G-3 is the clear and tight mid sound...it cuts through every mix. And it sounds good in all three pickup modes. That is what I didn't like about the Ripper. From the 4 modes only two sounded good for me.

The G 3 creams the other two into the ground. A Ripper is too docile/lame for my taste and a Grabber too grindingly raucuous, but a G-3 cuts and slices, yet has ooomph and is not too abrasive. No wonder it is leading the poll.

And if you like a mix of G-3 and Ripper sound, you are best served with the current Epi Ltd Ed Ripper which is a fine sounding instrument.

That's good enough for me!!
I vote Grabber, until the G-3/Ripper clone is finished.
