Default Ripper/G3 clone update ( 70% ish Genuine Gibson content )

Hello All, and sorry for the smart-aleky title ( but it is fairly accurate )

Here are the latest pics of the Ripper/G3 clone, and the parts used......

NOS Gibson neck, G3 pickups, bridge cover, pointer knob ( all from the Kalamazoo treasure trove on e-bay )

NOS Gibson/Schaller tuners ( #14110 originally black, now chromed from the Victory series, e-bay )

Ebony fingerboard blank, three point bridge, string ferrules, misc. hardware ( Allparts )

Speed knobs, truss rod cover ( Gibson )

Two piece alder body blank ( USA Custom guitars )

Sawing, sanding, filing, fretting, finishing ( Me )

Feel free to ask any questions and Jules, by all means move this to a different spot if you wish.

Scott

Thank you all for your kind compliments,

In answer to the most asked question, I don't know how it sounds, yet!
Not quite finished, it's wired up but I still need to buff it out and do the final leveling of the frets. Jules, the color is wine red but looks very close to the dark cherry red of an EB or SG. I'll post more pics and some sound clips when I get it all together, should be in the next week or so. Here are a few pics of it next to my '64 Newport and '76 Grabber (wine red) for comparison.
Once again thank you,
Scott

That looks great and it is nice to see someone reproduce a comparatively unorthodox model and not the umpteenth Fenderbird.
