Two basses caught my eye in this evenings ebay browse

1967 Non-reverse Thunderbird - shes a beaut! A really nicely done refin.

the other one is an RD Artist previously owned by Twiggy Ramirez of Marilyn Manson.

This bass appears in these two Marilyn Manson videos (You know you're getting old when videos make you tut..... )

Man, the seller doesn't look ANYTHING like a MM fan. Not even a little!

You should be able to get the signitures off it.

Let's face it Twiggy is not going to bring value to a bass

It's a bit like the RD I had being owned by Casey Orr from the band Gwar. Although I guess MM are a bit more famous these days :D

Still MM don't do anything for me and certainly woudn't tempt me to pay that price for an RD.

I asked Kevin Borden- Goodguys Guitars (bass dealer) about signitures- if they add to the value and he said on the whole, not, unless you can find a fan of the artist. generally If he gets a bass with one, he removes it.

The only ones that would ad value are bass legends, like Entwistle or Jack Bruce.

The Tbird went down in less than 24 hours---something saying there was an error in the listing. I wonder if we'll see it again?

Well they are pretty well known, and pretty popular amongst a certain age group- but these are not the people with money to spend on collecting instruments. But one day, when they all turn 50, and have some disposable income, and memories of their youth....

I guess a lot depends on what happens to MMs musical career in the next 40 years. This may, or may not be worth a lot of money one day. Only time will tell I guess.

Not that it makes it worth the asking price, but from what I've heard Twiggy is back in MM now. Nothing against Twiggy (cause I do like MM up thru "Dope Show" stuff) but thats a lot to ask for anyones autograph!
