Default Sheryl Crowe

That photo is from 2003, and appears on Gibsons site. See more here

They are calling it an EB3....

Looks like an early version of the SG reissue bass - wonder what those pickups were...

Could be TB Plus Chrome Humbuckers lurking in there. Somehow, that body looks seventy'ish to me, SG RIs look sleeker. I first thought it was a customized SB 450, but of course the route for the SB front control cavity would have to be filled before a refin.

I'm not sure whether the "custom" in Gibson's description is not supposed to indicate that this is an aftermarket mod of God-only-knows-what-it-initially-was rather than a Custom Shop model. But then of course Frau Crow would always get one made if she asked nicely.

Yeah me too - when I first saved this picture from their site (2003? 2004?pre-SG reissue days anyway) I labelled it as an 'SB?' - and I haven't looked at it since. But the control layout is pure SG re-issue. No mistaking that. I can't see that they would fill in the front of an SB, then route the back...

I quite like the white, no-pickguard look, and even the lack of chrome doesn't seem too bad.....
