Default Non traditional refinish (Epiphone ripper)

Here is my Epi Ripper after shaving down the body to gibson ripper size and refinishing in a more contemporary finish that vintage Gibson.

Will accept any thought and comments.

Ah, ok

Well, the finish is actually Testors model paint, trans blue, with laquer black and clear coats. All cans. Im not 100% happy with the finish, so I think I am going to strip it all down and re-shoot it with auto laquer. Ive had good results with that.

Would love to find a trans blue laquer in a can, though.

Hi Anyfour,

you have done a really nice job! That is actualy the first Epi Ripper that I like. Good that you shaped off the body size. It is just too big on the Epi Ripper and looks strange. I Like the blueburst!

Like the 'white' headstock also.
