I take it this is about the project ripper

No, the RD ones are bigger

Also, the G3s are all single coil, but are wired to humbuck (you have no setting with just one pickup running)

The RD standard pickups are humbuckers, despitetheir apparent thinness!

The RD ones are so cheap on ebay just now, I can see you are tempted. How about 3 RD humbuckers!!!
