Default Gripper project poll

G-3 mounted pickups in T bird covers - yeah or neh?

I was thinking of using a Big D varitone with the G-3 pups, Hipshot bridge

Open to any suggestions?

I could do the standard natural, black on black or transparent cherry.

I did not really want to do a burst at this point.

Also to mount the G-3 pickups in the covers, I would need to trim off the side screw mounts to fit under the covers, so after that, it would be hard to go back.

I like the idea of the chrome. I just think the Tbird covers are too big. I dont know alot about how its done, but can you chrome the grabber pickups directly? I think the smaller chrome would look great.

As far as color, Im not crazy about the seafoam. :-)

funny but I was thinking about lipstick covers like on the Lakland Jerry Scheff.

I'm not crazy about any of the colors and leaning toward black on black with the stock pickups, like in the original natural picture.

The body style really does not lend it'self to bright colors in my opinion.

I am doing one in white with black pickguard and the clear pups like yours. It really is looking nice.

But you are right, it doesnt lend itself to colors well for some reason. Only way would be in a burst going to.....black of course.
