There don't seem to be many EB2s around just now, certainly on the bay. Whats going on? I'm looking for a beater/project. Anyone got a lad for me

The last few years have seen EB2 beaters and projects jump from maybe a couple of hundred bucks to more than clean ones were bringing back then. A project EB2 is going to fetch a grand now or even more. Combine the number of EB2s that survived the 70s without DiMarzio P bass pups routed into them with those that don't have broken necks or Badasses raped into them, and you have a small number of clean originals with an ever-growing number of Gibson bass fans and dabblers. There is always a couple on the bay every month. This is probably all cyclical, so expect them to show up on ebay in greater numbers at some point, or for projects to get abandoned.

I got my last one off there for $250 and I am done.
