Default I have Fender 72 p-bass with a very unique engravement

can anyone please tell what this engravement is and any possible origin it might have I think it says...Man-red Trautmann

I wonder if it says Manfred Trautmann? If so, it would be a fairly common German name.

I'm sure someone made up a logo brand for some other purpose and decided it would be cool to brand their bass with it.

I know there's a Manfred Trautmann in Germany who is an instrument technician. I read about him on some blogs and stuf...

Maybe he worked on the bass earlier ;) That might explain the logo too...

Default Manfred Trautman Stamp on Bass

This stamp was the stamp of Manfred Trautman who lived in New Orleans from 1968 to 1984.
He was a master Luthier who repaired and made violins as well as other stringed instruments.
He moved to Monmool Sweeden and died in there in 1985.
He was a good friend of mine.
