Default S-1 Copy

Thought I would share with you my Gibson S-1 copy. This is a Warmoth mahogany flat top Les Paul body with maple 24 3/4 conversion neck. Stew Mac nitro finish, Greatdeals Pickups (off ebay....NOS Gibson) I have the neck and bridge pickups going to separate volumes, then to the switch. It is wired just like a grabber. Then to 1 tone. I have to say, it plays great and sound SWEET.

I really like that. What was the neck? Do you mean converted from a different shape?

I've got a marauder project on the go.... perhaps i'll try something similar

Jules

well, by conversion neck, this is the story:
All warmoth guitars, even Gibson type, are made at 25 1/2 inch scale. All bodies are made and routed for this scale as well. What they do for 24 3/4 guitars is to convert the scale and slightly adjust the position of the fretboard (overhang over the heel) to make the scale 24 3/4". I can attest to the superior quality of warmoth parts, if anyone ever wondered. After I properly set it up, this thing plays SO easy and smooth.

Jules, I dont know what parts you need for marauder project, but if you get a neck (flying V style) dont have them drill holes for the screws. Everything is make to Fender size and specs, so they wont line up. But talk to them on the phone. They are very knowledgable, and if you tell them what you have and what you want, they`ll tell you how they can do it.

Default nitro finish

Great job. Did you do the finishing yourself?
