Hi,

First post. I am looking at buying a 1961 refin P Bass. Ugly black paint that "might be able to be removed). Also a black PG.

The case is from circa 1968 and the pickup is an early 70's. Pots, knobs, bridge, jack, PG plate, tuners are original. The neck is gorgeous and not refined.

I can get a "free" '63 tortoise guard if I bought it.

Asking price is 3K and I think they are pretty firm. I'd redo it (assuming the paint can't be removed) in vintage white or fiesta red.

PS... no change to the body contours...
