Hi all. New to this site. I have owned a G3 natural finish bass for many years. Recently, I left it in my car on a hot day and the neck snapped right below the headstock. Anyone know how I might find a replacement G3 neck ??

Hi, welcome to the forum
thats an interesting (and unfortunate) thing to happen. Presumably it broke at the join... How hot was it? where in the world are you? presumably un-cased. theres a lesson for us all! You should find one on ebay. I paid $200 for one earlier this year, from a seller in the US. Grabber necks are the same (except the ones with decals, which also state either grabber 1 or grabber 3 Might be worth taking it to a luthier - I would have thought a good repair would be closer to $100, ymmv good luck ! |

Nothing wrong with the neck - it just got so hot the glue came off as it eventually does. An easy fix for any luthier and then good as new, no need for a new neck at all.

What donnervogel said. ... but if you wanted to replace the neck anyway - there's a grabber (G1) neck (same as the G3) on ebay right now. It's been broken and repaired however.
