Well, I have seen videos of Animals in youtube (I love the Eb 2 or Rivoli). Someone knows other videos with Eb 2 or rivolis?
Thank you!

Default Jazz!

Ok to start this one off, heres Gray Burton from 78. Its a Jazzer, but if you don't like jazz, stick with it, because bassist Steve Swallow steps forward and does a great solo.

Was his EB2 humbucker replaced with a Dimarzio model 1? looks like it.... but then looks can be deceiving

I postsed a link here to very similar clip a while back, which no longer works. Youtube may well remove this video sooner or later, so check it now when you can

Vibes are cool too.. its impressive to see the 4-stick playing with no wrong notes!

Thank you Jules!. Yes, I like jazz, very much, and I play some standars... I know the music of Gary Burton, and Steve Swallow too. I prefer finger style, but Steve plays great! And yes, it seems a Dimarzio One in bridge position. Thank you again!

Default EB2 vs Rivoli

yeah, thats a great clip. Full of mid sixties amtosphere...

The Rivoli was THE bass in mid 60s Britain - I just don't know why the EB2 was so unusual here. Perhaps it wasn't available, which would surprise me because the EB0 and EB3 certainly were. Price wise they were the same (in the US anyway) but I can't think of any British mid sixties bands using the EB2 rather than the Rivoli........ (there probably are examples, but none spring to mind)

any ideas? any ex-Selmer employees lurking here?

American bands liked Epi's too.

And American guitar players liked when their English bass players had them (with tapewounds). Looks like an Epi.

Noel Redding's looks like a Gibson on second thought.
