Hi,
An musician friend of mine, who stopped playing, left a couple a years ago his old bass with me. I'd just took it off the wall and shooted some pictures for you, to comment. In mine opinion this is a 1968. It has been fooled around with as far as the PUP's concerned I guess, although I can't see any bad re-routing on the body. Except for an odd line right from the neck PUP. The knobs are new. I still have the original's but they are all crancked up. One can see that originally there was the PG. The drill holes are filled up, and I think there's some coulor-spread over at that time. In fact I think it's done with a brush... Good job though. It is awsome light in weight: I think less than 4 K's. The sound isn't too good, too my ears though... Any comments? What would be the value of it? Wow... this is amazing... my body reflects perfectly in de shape of the Gibson-body! |

with a bit of work, that bass could be brought back to something really special. Are you selling it? I'm potentially interested (or how about a swap)

The bass doesn't belong to me. It's from my friend. Some time ago fellow musicians asked for it too. But the guy won't sell, though he doesn't use it any more at the moment. So selling or swapping isn't an option.
Are the two PUPS original? I never saw them like this. |

ok, no probs, but it is a nice bass! Yes the pups look original, however the front one would not have had a pickup ring - rather it would have been mounted in the pickguard. The back one would have had a ring only ![]() Jules |
