Hi,

I have been away from music the last 10 years

becauce of tinitus in my left ear.

I have a G3 bass which is not in perfect stand but plays

like a new one.

If i was to sell it, what could i get for it :

yours is the 84th. instrument made on the 201st day of 1978.at least it should work like that.

How many in all, did they make off the G3 ??

(I presume they don`t make it anymore)

Between 1975-1979 4287 G3's were made according to the Gibson Shipment Totals book. They were discontinued in 1982 so there's 3 more years of production on top of 4287.

And sales were on the decline by 1980 so I would be surprised if more than 6000 total were made. But in any case it's not a rare model.
