Ehhh...

If that were an EB0 or EB3 I could find it in my heart to resurrect it. But I would avoid it myself. The double pups and NASA control layout are just too much damage for an EB2 to handle. You cant really undo that kind of damage without retopping it, or finding another EB2 that has a bad neck to be the donor. With an EB0 or 3 you can do the veneer band-aid repair, and most people would never know how bad the attack was.

The donor route would have been an affordable alternative about 4 or 5 years ago, but now the cost of a beater/cob-job makes it less rewarding personally. I don't like having cobbed stuff unless there has been a break repair.

I do like that they started the bidding low.

Default take out

I'd have it just to play out. Yes i'd prefer a few less holes, but once the extraneous switches were removed I would hardly remember them.

And it wouldn't be such a loss if the neck snapped again, or it got stolen.

I would restore as many original parts as I had - but I agree you can't hide its history easily. I would intend to give it a retop or solid colour refin but almost certainly never get round to it

The price is right for me to use this for my EB2 Recording project, but all the holes and the extra pup (wider that loZ pups) will be a pain to fill.
... then again, for that price.... anyone wanna receive this for me (I live in Canada, so NW US prefferanble)? There'll be a free DiMarzio in it for you?

Thanks anyway John, but it ended up going too high for me considering the issues with it, so I let it go.
